My father read this book to us all the time I can remember it I can hear his voice reading it it was a cute story. That is the reason I bought the book. I have no children of my own but it brought back memories of my father. Children should like this book. It's a little talk one day on the Yangtze River.

my favorite Book as a child

Would you consider the audio edition of The Story about Ping to be better than the print version?

As much as I enjoyed listening to this in audio format, with my granddaughters, it would have been FAR more engaging for them to see the illustrations that accompanied the story.

What did you like best about this story?

This was a ghost from my childhood - Captain Kangaroo days - I hadn't even remembered the title but the thought of that poor duck being the last one on the boat and getting spanked left an impression on my 5 year old self apparently. My granddaughter (6) seemed to agree. =)

What about Berman Lord’s performance did you like?

Good voice for this story.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

No.

Any additional comments?

No.

A classic from my childhood
