"This can't be happening" is spot on for this book, the most of the four books I've read on this series. It is the author's.nightmare tale of an adoption. I have been through this scenario as the attorney and can testify that all the apprehensions are true. I've also served as a guardian ad litem for children in the system, which can be gut-wrenching. The author's perspective makes the story. Her ability to display compassion in a tough situation is inspirational. The Third Man brings her compassion to the forefront.

Any book that helps encourage someone to delve beyond surface judgments is a plus in my eyes. This was a short story, perfect for a short car trip. I enjoyed and recommend it. 👍
