Compared to such luminaries as #1 New York Times best-selling authors Brad Thor and Vince Flynn, Brad Taylor delivers edgy and adrenaline-drenched military thrillers. The Widow's Strike pits Taskforce operator Pike Logan and his partner Jennifer Cahill against a Chechen suicide bomber intent on releasing a deadly, genetically mutated virus. Traversing the globe to stop this catastrophe, the two soon discover there is a more dangerous enemy lurking in the shadows.

Would you consider the audio edition of The Widow’s Strike to be better than the print version?

I really don't have much time to read, so I listen to audio books on the way back and forth between the 2 colleges that I teach at.

What did you like best about this story?

The danger of a bio-weapon attack by militant enemies of the US

Have you listened to any of Henry Strozier and Rich Orlow ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Probably have, but I am not sure if I like having two narrators.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

The book really made me more aware of the nature of Islamic extremists.

Any additional comments?

I enjoy the Pike Logan series, although the concept of a secret council is a little hard to accept.

Pike Logan does it again

I enjoy this series but find it challenging to continue to listen to the story when it’s broken up with 2 very different voices. They aren’t distinct characters as they both read the same characters in different ways.

2 narrators causes confusion

The first excellent book in the series in my opinion. Much less painful dialogue and a fun plot. Narrators are still annoying at times and fail to pronounce things well. Also, completely lazy narration and complete lack of effort for accents. Overall though an entertaining story.

A reward for those who put up with the first couple books
