I absolutely adored The Goblin Emperor and decided to read this book next. It did not disappoint. Written in the same world and with some of the same characters it is still a stand alone from The Goblin Emperor. But is you haven’t read that you should as it is amazing.

The only quibble I had with this book is that I had to slow the speed down to 0.9. I usually listen at 1.1 to 1.15. The names are complicated. Once I got the speed working well for me it was a great book. Off to download #2
