Just ask him you nitwit! lol How many times does he have to help you before your like “duhh maybe he isn’t trying to kill me?” It was fine in the first book but by chapter 12 of book two it’s obnoxious and just makes the female lead look like an idiot. FMC is the worst, stupidest most selfish little twat constantly throwing herself pity parties in between being defiant for no reason. She is supposed to be hundreds of years old and still acting like a petulant teenage girl. Of course there is a mate bond bc if there wasn’t there is no universe in which any guy would put up with her bs. I almost feel bad for the male lead except he basically has no personality traits besides tall, dark, handsome and “mate bond” obsessed. Ughhh… she suckss!! It’s like the author is so selfish and self obsessed that she has no concept of what developing human character is supposed to look like. Relationship development is also clunky at best like how many times you going to have sex with the guy before you actually ask him some questions. So many times she just goes I almost asked him (thing that would actually move the plot forward) but then I shut my mouth.. I hate Selena with a passion and I hope the twist is that the male lead ends her, grows a personality and finds someone less insufferable.

The first book was amazing and this one was nothing short of a incredible itself! Marion Blackwood you are so talented and this book is easily one of my favorite of all time. 6⭐️ read!! Now I need book 4/5 on AUDIO ASAP so I can finish the series
