I am not going to try justifying why I wanted to listen to this book. If there is even a *remote* interest in buying the book for those reading this, you probably know why you are here... I will say though I DID enjoy it, and you likely will too. Having a female narrator was a nice touch, and she did wonderfully. The story, and… “spice” were great. Honestly, enough said.

Surprisingly enjoyable

Awesome worldbuilding, amazing characters, unpredictable story progression, heartmelting romance. I ended up here after Primal Conjurer and Queen's Kestrel. Rogan is just a good storyteller. Always delivers the feels.

Erin and Alfie do an amazing job voice acting, as always. They do a great job of bringing these stories to life.

Typical banger from Danny Rogan

good book, good pacing, would definitely advise myself to get it if I were asking myself about it.

I liked the story until the MC decided that his only path was to lie and keep lying to everyone even when a child could tell that just telling the truth to the obviously more experienced and intelligent people around him would be a better option. It felt like the author couldn't figure out a way to get the MC on the pathway to the end other than making completely stupid decisions.

Not a bad story but
