Great story but narrator was bad

The storyline is average; I was mostly engaged. The performance was inconsistent and distracting. The narrator, which at times I thought was AI moved between sounding robotic; with awkward intonation, GPS-like pronunciation of words and pauses to being very overacted. Additionally, the flow of dialogue came across as unnatural. Overall the storyline is okay and predictable, but remains entertaining. But the performance may move you to stop listening all together.

I really enjoyed the story, but the narrator was clearly just reading lines. Not done as well as some of the others I have listened to.
But... the narration isn't so bad that I won't listen again.. the book is too good for that!

This was my first Irene Hannon book. I really enjoyed the story. I've already downloaded the next book! I definitely will be reading more of her stuff.

I liked this storyline and the characters were likable. At one point in the story I thought Moira was being hypocritical with Cal, questioning his PI methods and truth. Considering she is a reporter I am sure she has been shady in getting her information for her top stories. Moira does tell about the scar she got when she met someone for info. For a story she wrote. Anyway, the story was good and I will probably listen to this author again. Recommend for those who like a good, clean Christian mystery.
