I've been asleep for the past ten years.

The horror of waking up from the best dream ever and remembering you're a monster is indescribable. My soul is screaming for mercy, for forgiveness, for redemption…but I know I'll never get it.

I'm going to Hell for everything I've done. The only thing I can do now is take as many monsters with me as I can.

My list is almost complete. There's one more name to go, and it's the hardest job I've ever done.

I'm on my way to Castlemaine—a bizarre little town hidden between Wildwood Canyon and the Badlands of California. Strange things lurk in Castlemaine. It's the Bermuda Triangle of the United States—a place of weird old magic, odd people, and vicious creatures like me. Nobody ever wants to go there because they might not ever come back. But I've got no choice.

I'm going to take out the man who taught me to kill.

The beginning was very confusing, & very repetitive. And the whole crying over being a bad person was getting old fast. I started to give up by the 5 or 6 chp but finally the story got interesting once she got into the main quest of the story. The main character is a bad ass but the crying, whining & self loathingwas to much. Not really into the main character sobbing all the time. The author kept just enough tid bits in the 1st few chpts to keep me going. I'ld have to say by chpt 10 or 11 it finally got down to the plot. Just finished starting bk2 now. Hope there isn't anymore cry or self hating bc if so I don't plan to continue with the series. The story line is interesting & it's a slow burn with a sexy love interest.

… as women no longer need to use masculine methods of facing their demons.

Such a fierce symbol of divine feminine rage, taking back Her place in the world - an immensely powerful woman…. Enjoying being dominated by the toxic aspect of divine masculinity. A steamy coupling but a confusing message for certain.

An interesting series! Hoping the author rounds back to less traumatized work as…

Like the other books I've read by this author, the story is original with unique and engaging characters. I fine myself intrigued by the plot and I'm curious to see how things develop.

What on earth is this about. It is the most pointless endless ADHD bipolar story I’ve ever tried to read. Seriously I couldn’t stay in it. Every time I tried the FC was crying or talking to her goose. A goose. I am probably not the correct person for this. It reads very very YA as in maybe 12-14 year olds would enjoy it.
