An Aeldari Corsairs Audiobook

Baron Myrin Stormdawn of the Starsplinters Corsairs allies with a craftworld aeldari to deal with rival ork freebooters for plunder and territory. Along the way, he must negotiate a complicated web of connections and the favour of his superiors.

LISTEN TO IT BECAUSE

It's a glimpse into the mysterious life of the aeldari corsairs, who exist somewhere between the structured craftworld aeldari and the unscrupulous drukhari. It's a life of daring adventure and excitement as well as danger and dirty politics. Plus, they're up against everyone's favourite cunning and brutal pirates – ork freebooters.

THE STORY

The Starsplinters are aeldari corsairs, raiders and reavers of the void, and Baron Myrin Stormdawn is one of their greatest leaders. When his running conflict with the Badskab Bukkaneers of Uzgul da Magnificent escalates in unexpected ways, Myrin is forced into an alliance with Taenar Leotharan, an exiled admiral from his former home – the craftworld Ilmaren.

As Taenar is forced to adapt to the unfettered life of the corsair, whose freedom is a double-edged sword, Myrin faces challenges of his own. When a Starsplinters' authority rests on the success of their last voyage and the whims of their feared commander, Princess Tishria, Uzgul da Magnificent's freebooters may not be the deadliest threat…

I've been enjoying watching Brooks write Xenos books for a long time now. He's becoming a great gateway into being interested in Eldar again. Priestley does a great job with voice acting as well. Worth the credit!

Another Win for Xenos

Mike Brooks has done it again, this time featuring what is quickly becoming my favorite Eldar faction. Do yourself a favor and buy this book. This is the most engaging Eldar book I've read from the Black Library, and it features so many unique characters and engaging proteins, and left me wanting a sequel immediately after I finished listening. Eldar books have a reputation for being less than stellar (deservedly so, I'd say) but happily, this one bucks the trend in style. In this lovely book, we get Freebooterz, we get Eldar politics, we get Craftworlders, we get Drukhari, we get *EXODITES*, and hoooboy we get some good Corsair action, we get the Eldar as they haven't been seen in ages in a story that made me yearn for more content like this in the future. Give the narrator a raise too for bouncing between some of the best Orc voices and the Eldar cast on a dime, if that isn't vocal range talent, I don't know what is. All in all, I'll be recommending this book to everyone I know who wants to learn about the Eldar as they *should* be seen, and anyone who wants a rock solid 5/5 40k book in general!

Flat out, the Best 40k Eldar book

Mike Brook has done fantastic work when it came to the Orkz and now has done it with the pointy ears. So this has been intriguing and not at all on all points. Pirates in wh40k are getting the attention in this and well worth the listen. Fantastic work ebbs and flows and reading for both orkz and eldar. And there hasn’t been a dull moment throughout. Highly highly recommend this audiobook!

Mike Brooks is one of Black Library's better authors and he brings a fun novelty to the grim darkness of the far future. I really enjoyed this book.
