  • Episode 121 - New Groove Artisan Brewery
    Apr 2 2026

Boiling Springs, South Carolina is the home of New Groove Artisan Brewery. Co-Owners, Jonathan Duke and Josh Dodson joined on this episode, as did our good friend, Chris Finen.

Chris and Jonathan go back a number of years. He paid to a visit to the Brewery in 2025, and was so impressed, encouraged us to do an episode.

These guys opened the Brewery in 2017. What sparked their interest in this venture and how has their business evolved over the past nine years? Including

New Groove has what they call the "Masterworks Bottle Society". You just might get hooked to being a member once hearing about it.

In addition to his duties as Co-Owner, Jonathon also brews the good stuff. From Pastry Stouts to great tasting Lagers. They leave no stone unturned. You want variety, come to New Groove.

Craft Beer is not the only thing New Groove is known for. Josh Dodson likes to focus on the food aspect of things. He calls himself the CBO (Chief Burger Officer)

We had a lot of fun getting to know these guys and you will to.

    Cheers!

  • Episode 120 - Cabin Fever Beer Fest with The Foamy Heads
    Mar 26 2026

Cabin Fever was a Beer Fest in Murfreesboro, TN that Cedar Glade Brews put on in February 2026, and was appropriately named.

This was their inaugural Cabin Fever event and it turned out perfectly.

This was an amazing day! The weather was great, we were hanging with our homies the Foamies (The Foamy Heads), and there was an All-Star cast of people from the local beer scene, all around us.

We may have explored the beer fest to sample several beers before we hit the mics - including some fantastic ones from some home brewers.

We did find some time to actually hit the record button and talk to some awesome people in many facets of the beer community.

I think our plan was to come back after we recorded this and record some more, but drinking the beer and socializing with everyone there was just too hard to pull away from.

Nevertheless, we spoke to some absolute legends in the business that we're all fans of, and got to meet some new people for the first time - which was fantastic.

Enjoy the episode and be in awe of the lineup of guests that joined us - one right after the other.

We couldn't possibly have had more fun than we did with seeing and chatting with several of our friends in and out of the craft beer world.

    Cheers!

  • Episode 119 - Saranac F.X. Matt Brewing Company
    Mar 19 2026

One of the oldest breweries in the United States is located in Utica, New York. Saranac was founded in 1888 by FX Matt. Yes, 1888!

With that much history, we needed to learn more. Fred Matt is President of Saranac and is a 4th generation family member now running things. Boy, does he have some stories to tell!

We we're on the edge of our seats listening to the rollercoaster ride it has been. From how Saranac managed to stay in business when Prohibition started in 1920. The marketing efforts many years later that increased sales thanks to a well-known actor.

Through it all, Fred Matt says they have continued to evolve with changes throughout the years. Including events like The Boilermaker 15k and the annual Oktoberfest celebration.

Saranac is most certainly here to stay. Fred Matt says another generation will one day be taking over this family tradition.

    Cheers!
