Every day he roamed the fields, climbed the hills, and one day stood at the entrance of a cave, feeling that extraordinary blend of fear and anticipation. That feeling eventually became The Legend of Zelda. That boy was Shigeru Miyamoto.

Hailed as the Leonardo da Vinci of video games, Shigeru Miyamoto is the creative genius behind Super Mario, The Legend of Zelda, Pikmin, and countless other legendary franchises. He joined Nintendo in 1977 as an industrial designer with virtually no game development experience, yet went on to create Donkey Kong and rescue Nintendo's struggling American market. Over the following four decades, he continuously redefined what video games could be — from Super Mario Bros. to the 3D revolution of Super Mario 64, from the original Zelda to the masterpiece Ocarina of Time, from the Wii's motion control breakthrough to the Nintendo Switch dissolving the boundary between home and portable gaming.

Miyamoto is more than a designer. He is a philosopher of play. He believes games are an extension of humanity's purest instinct to play, and that they should deliver genuine emotional experiences. He has said that great game design is like great teaching — you do not tell players the rules, you let them discover the rules themselves. His insistence on quality and his respect for the player gave Nintendo games a warmth that billions of people around the world recognize as part of their own childhood.

On January 10, 1929, a small figure appeared in the pages of a Belgian newspaper. A young reporter in a beige flat cap, accompanied by a white dog, set off on his first adventure. No one could have imagined that this simple drawn character would go on to be published in more than seventy languages, sell over two hundred and fifty million copies, and become one of the most recognized fictional figures of the twentieth century.

Herge, born Georges Remi in Brussels in 1907, invented not just Tintin but an entire visual language for storytelling. His style, known as Clear Line or Ligne Claire, transformed comics from newspaper filler into genuine art. But behind those clean, precise lines was a complicated human being navigating love, war, moral ambiguity, and an endless search for meaning.

In this episode, Jenny takes you through the full arc of Herge's life. From a doodling schoolboy in Brussels to a cross-cultural friendship with Chinese artist Zhang Chongren that changed everything. 有一棟建築從一八八二年開始蓋，超過一百四十年了還沒完工。它不是爛尾樓，而是全球每年吸引超過四百萬人朝聖的聖家堂。它的設計者是安東尼高第，一個把大自然的語言翻譯成建築的天才。

高第從小患有風濕病，無法跟其他孩子一起玩耍，只能坐著觀察自然界。他從蝸牛殼、蜘蛛網、樹枝分叉中學到了一種古老的建築智慧：大自然的曲線才是最強的結構。他把這套哲學帶進每一棟建築，創造出那些讓人以為是大自然長出來的石頭奇蹟。

晚年的高第幾乎放棄了一切世俗生活，把自己全部獻給聖家堂。他睡在工地裡，穿著破爛衣服，靠齋戒過日子，把所有財產都捐出去。一九二六年，他在走去望彌撒的路上被電車撞倒。因為衣著破爛，沒有人認出他是誰，甚至連計程車司機都拒絕載他。三天後，這位改變了建築史的天才悄悄離開了這個世界。

他說他的客戶不趕時間，因為他的客戶是上帝。

A building that has been under construction since 1882. Still unfinished after 140 years. Not an abandoned project, but one of the most visited landmarks on Earth, drawing over four million pilgrims annually to Barcelona. This is the Sagrada Familia, and the man who designed it was Antoni Gaudi.

Gaudi suffered from severe rheumatism as a child, unable to run and play like other children. Instead he sat quietly and observed the natural world. From snail shells, spider webs, and branching trees, he learned a profound architectural truth: the curved lines of nature are the strongest structures that exist. He carried this philosophy into every building he created, producing stone masterpieces that look as though nature itself grew them from the earth.

In his later years Gaudi gave up almost everything. He lived on the construction site of the Sagrada Familia, wore ragged clothes, subsisted on near-fasting, and donated all his possessions. In 1926 he was struck by a tram while walking to morning Mass. Because of his shabby appearance no one recognized him, and taxi drivers refused to transport him. Three days later, one of the greatest architects in history quietly left this world.

He once said his client was in no hurry. Because his client was God.

This episode is a tribute to the man who prayed to God through architecture.

On August 6th, 1945, a seven-year-old boy stood in Hiroshima and watched his city burn. He would watch his mother die three years later from radiation sickness. That child grew up to become Issey Miyake, the designer who changed the definition of clothing for the entire world.
