Things have been quiet on Neverwylde, but everyone has been busy. With a new group of research scientists sent to spend the next six months on the planet, their goal is to learn and document as much as possible to classify the alien world as a 2A planet. But things never go as planned on this still wild and unknown galactic anomaly. Dox has a one-track mind, but that’s normal for his kind. Being an isotope baby, he was specifically created to be highly intelligent, often found working on inventions, and rarely speaking beyond a couple words.

But if there’s even the tiniest of chances that Kelen is still alive, Kyber will stop at nothing to find her.

Just when they thought surviving on a strange half world couldn't get more difficult, Kyber, Kelen, and the crew are proven wrong, once again. Aliens and humans living together and surviving - it is possible. But with the food and water going bad, new deadly creatures attacking, and old enemies coming back into play, the odds just keep getting worse. The group knows their days are numbered if they don’t figure something out fast.

Running from an attack by the Alliance and looking for cover, a derelict ship unexpectedly comes into view. JeVit of the Pure takes the opportunity to hide behind it, not expecting to find an open bay door inviting them in. Too late she realizes she should have rejected that invitation. For the past four years, the war against the invaders has raged on, with seemingly no end in sight. Cities and towns have been razed, with the majority of the population killed or forced into hiding.
