Francis Scott Key Fitzgerald was born on 24th September 1896 in Saint Paul, Minnesota, into an upper-middle class family. Whilst his mother was pregnant with him, his two young sisters tragically died. Fitzgerald once said this was when his destiny as a writer was ordained. Amongst F. Scott Fitzgerald's many short story gems is ‘The Four Fists’. It follows a life, from boyhood to maturity, and how an occasional brush with physical force influences and changes that life.

The 'old rich' live in East Egg, while the 'New Rich' reside in West Egg. Nick lives in a small house in West Egg. Nick's next-door neighbor is Jay Gatsby. Jay is in love with Nick's cousin, Daisy. But, Daisy is married to a man named Tom. The novel is about Jay and his hope that he can steal Daisy from Tom.

The Columbus Civic Theater has created a radio play podcast series based on F. Scott Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby. Six parts in total, the series represents the entire novel, abridged. After the pandemic closed its theater, the Columbus Civic Theater has been working in other mediums.
