So, you have sorted through the plethora of information on leadership and landed right here. Perhaps you are already in a leadership position and you need to learn some tools to be effective. Maybe you feel that you are a leader, but those in authority over you seem to look right past you for promotion. Whatever your situation might be, you have started an adventure that will propel you into your destiny.

The Internet landscape is changing rapidly. Did you know that within a very short time, your website may be virtually invisible to the search engines? Did you know that soon the only way you are going to get any traffic at all is to pay for it? Google wants your money. They have been eliminating from their indexes websites that do not meet their stringent standards. Only legitimate websites offering nonduplicated, original content will get any free search engine traffic.

Timmy was a little boy who longed for a special friend. He was bored all of the time. His father came home from work one day, and he noticed his son sitting on the porch by himself. He knew that his son was bored, so he offered to play some baseball with him until dinner. After dinner Timmy did his homework and went to bed. After he was asleep, his parents discussed getting him a new friend. Does Timmy get a new friend? Where do they go after school? What happens at the end?

"Pop Pop's Pond" and "Russ the Hippopotamus" are two fun and educational stories, both inspired by my grandchildren. It was 1862, and what a year it was. A man by the name of Jesse Wells was about to become a legend, but not the kind of legend to be proud of. Jesse had a mean temper, and when the Saloon doors swung open things got quiet, and people scattered. Jesse would enter the Saloon, spit a wad of tobacco juice on the floor, and shoot his six-shooter in the air and say, "Where's my whiskey?"

It was 1883 and the little town of Brickport where Dr. Moorehead had been practicing medicine for many years started getting complaints from his patients. The doctor had a little alcohol problem that wouldn't go away, and it was showing by bad diagnosis that didn't go unnoticed by his patients, which ultimately led to his practice being suspended indefinitely.

It was Halloween Night and Damon was excited about trying out his new Halloween prop in his front yard next to the busy road that ran in front of his house. He was putting on the finishing touches to his new prop when some friends from school decided to drop by and check out his new prop he had been bragging about at school all day. His friends Steve, Jack and Karen rode together in the same car and pulled into Damon's driveway and watched as Damon was practicing slipping the noose around his neck.

Jenny was so excited that Mike asked her to be his girlfriend. She was a cheerleader and Mike was the star quarterback at their high school. They were so in love, and ready to get more serious, and one day get married and start a family of their own, but that dream would never come to light because of what was about to unfold that night.

Damn. My head hurt. This can't happen again. Of course, I'd said the same thing the two other times someone had used my dome for a kettledrum. But this time I'd had it. Three years in the business with no trouble and now I'd suffered five attacks in the last six months. I wasn't taking any more of it.

It was June and what a perfect month for a wedding. Dan and Melissa had been dating for several years and Dan finally popped the question she had been anticipating for over a year. She thought that day would never come, but it finally did and when Dan asked her to marry him she said, "Yes! Yes!" and they shared a long kiss. Melissa said with excitement, "Dan, I know the perfect place to have the wedding."
