Rebekah Daniels is always excited about something. Most of the time, it's anything at all to do with solving a mystery. Now, she's super excited to be going to a brand new school with her best friend, Mouse. So far, her first day isn't starting out so well, though. She really couldn't help running into the janitor, because how would she get to class in time without running? But the bigger question remains.... That janitor had showed up in the hall out of nowhere! Rebekah is sure of it, so now she has her first fifth grade mystery to solve, and it's a big one!

Something very stinky is in the air! It started with some wise cracks during gym class, which Rebekah first thought was just a mean boy teasing another student. But when she becomes the target of the smelly offense, she has to get to the bottom of where the smell is actually coming from. It's so disgusting! Is it smelly towels? Rotten alien food of some sort? She won't stop until she and the rest of the school can walk the halls without having to plug their noses.
