Joining us in the Audible Studios to talk about not one but two recent audio projects is actor and comedian Matt Lucas. Joining us at Audible Studios is Damian Barr, British writer, columnist and playwright, who released his novel, You Will Be Safe Here, in 2019. Barr was born in Scotland and attended Lancaster University. Barr's first article ran in The Guardian in 1996, and since then he has written for titles such as The Sunday Times and Big Issue. With notable film appearances including Bridget Jones’s Diary, Calendar Girls and The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, Imrie has now narrated and published her latest audiobook, Sail Away. Celia Imrie talks to us about her new book, what we can expect from it and her successful and varied career as an actress.

Miranda Doyle visits the Audible Studios to talk about her new novel, A Book of Untruths.

Joining us at Audible Studios is Heather Morris, an author whose debut novel, The Tattooist of Auschwitz, was a huge success. Morris grew up in New Zealand and has split her adult life between there and Australia. Morris worked in the Social Work Department at Monash Medical Centre in Melbourne from 1995-2017. During this time, Morris decided to pursue her love of storytelling and enrolled in a professional scriptwriting course. In 2003, her life and career path changed. She was introduced to Lale Sokolov, upon whose story she based The Tattooist of Auschwitz.

Joining us at Audible Studios is Candice Carty-Williams, senior marketing executive at Vintage books and author of Queenie. Queenie is a relatable, darkly comic take on a Jamaican-British woman living in London trying to recover from a messy breakup, gain some attention among all the white middle class peers at her newspaper job and, most of all, fit into two different cultures. We spoke about her motivations for writing Queenie, her career, the lack of diversity in publishing and what she is planning on doing next.
