"Griselda" de Giovanni Boccaccio es una novela que aparece en su colección de cuentos conocida como el "Decameron". El cuento narra la historia de Griselda, una humilde y virtuosa campesina, que se casa con Gualtieri, el marqués de Saluzzo. A pesar de la inquebrantable lealtad y devoción de Griselda, Gualtieri la somete a numerosas pruebas y humillaciones para poner a prueba su fidelidad.
