Lokey has created an incredible compendium of Dark Souls lore and mythology to rival that of other ancient and famous pieces of mythos. Abyssal Archives's only real flaw might be its density and low level of accessibility, but this is only a testament to the sheer amount of work that went into cultivating this educational, and seemingly boundless collection of information on a game described as inscrutable. Clearly, with effort, its contents are ripe for the taking.

This was excellent, but definitely a challenge overview of Dark Souls. I am a casual player of Dark Souls that loved the game but am not a replayer. This read is definitely inspiring me to reconsider that.

This book was written by a scholar, it is the work of a true artisan...a meticulous, bold lore-master who grasps the essence of Dark Souls.

****This audiobook is not categorized well in the app. This is doing potential costumers, audible, author and narrator a disservice. It has never showed up for me at all-and it is my passion- so I am amending my review in the hopes that a staff member can add them to the title description (I tried to find a help article or flag on the title. At the least placing it in the video game section should help lift it into view. I would suggest these categories if it helps save time: Video Game, Fantasy and Science Fiction, Movie, TV, Video Game Tie-In, Fairy Tales Folk Tales and Myths, Arts and Entertainment and Religion and Spirituality*****

I love how they want into everything of the biggest lore event and characters the most minor NPCs. Vaat does an excellent job narrating the lore of the games. I love to see what they would do for the with other games in the game series.

This book is exactly what I am looking for when wanting to read a book about a game. This isn’t a fan story within the game, it IS the game. This helped me understand dark souls and put pieces together about it that would take years to put together my self. Great read if you want to understand the game and potential/likely intentions behind the game!
