It is April 1, 2038. Day sixty of China's blockade of the rebel island of Taiwan.

The US government has agreed to provide Taiwan with a weapons system so advanced, it can disrupt the balance of power in the region.

But what pilot would be crazy enough to run the Chinese blockade to deliver it?

Aggressor is the first novel in a new series that looks at the conflict that could spark the next World War, through the eyes of soldiers, sailors, civilians, and aviators on all sides. Featuring technologies that are on the drawing board today and could be fielded in the near future, Aggressor is the military technothriller you have been waiting for!

The story keeps drawing you in. Well thought out and engaging I will be listening to the rest. It is NOT purely linear so expect some back and forth on timeline but not in a bad breaks your belief way. This allows one thread to continue on before another thread starts that may be prior to first thread’s stopping point. While occasionally a bit jarring it felt like it served the story well.

Well written and believable- characters you can care about

the war seniareo presented could happen. the summary at the end is perhaps more accurate than we "want" to believe. very few people actually want war, but it always happens. in the case of Thailand, it's China's "honor" they can't get over. my personal problem and feelings of all the ears and fighting throughout the world is "why can't you just let others have their own beliefs and you be happy with yours? " get over it

theory and speculation on technology.

Awesome book. I’m diggin’ it. Read Beachhead too. As good as Red Storm Rising by Tom Clancy and Larry Bond. Timely. Does look a couple years over the horizon, but keeps the speculative stuff … drones and AI … very plausible.

As good as Clancy? Maybe, yes. For real.

The adventures of Bunny O’Hare are great and this one doesn’t disappoint. It is more than a novel it includes great analysis of the current situation in Taiwan.

This is one of those books that I wish Hollywood would pick up. Bunny is the female Australian Maverick. I can imagine someone like Emily Blunt playing her.

Best FX Holden Yet

Great story (and some what believable) account of a possible China invasion of Taiwan. The series brings back Lt Karen 'Bunny' O'Hare (USAFR) as the main character. I do recommend listening to Holden's 'Future of War' series first (sadly, only books 1 - 3 are available on Audible), as Bunny's character is introduced and defined. Although not a necessary precursor to the Aggressor series, they do define her. I am a new FX Holden fan.

EXCELLENT listen.
