Blended whiskey, blended family. Thomas Bennet is a successful second son, a man
who went into trade when his older brother, Harold, inherited Longbourn. When Harold passes,
Thomas and his two children (James and Elizabeth) return to Longbourn to live with Harold’s
widow (Fanny) and four daughters (Jane, Mary, Catherine and Lydia). A full length novel that is
a clean, low angst reimagining of Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice.

Good storyline and very glade it was fee. I really dislike computer generated voice. Its getting better.

Good twist

If you enjoy multi-generational stories, this is a good choice. All our favorite characters are here, with little angst. Elizabeth and Darcy were a touch too perfect for my taste, but Jane and Bingley were stronger than usual and that was good.

I genuinely liked this story and wouldn't mind reading it again. however, there were several editing errors that do take away from the story a bit. I loved that Wickham was a good man in this one; it's so rare and always enjoyable. the voice used to read mispronounces more than it should but the one I use also does the same thing so it's just something to keep in mind. the ending feels like it just kind of dropped off and was not given the same attention as the rest of the story. it felt a bit neglected. overall, was excellent and an interesting read.

loved the story. but it fell off at the end

The mispronunciation that bothered me the most was Darce as decor. The few other blendddnin, but this one was prevalent and disruptive.

The story is one of my favorite Pride and Prejudice variations and I would highly recommend it on Kindle as well.

Mispronunciation weird for an actual audio book

This was an interesting take on pride and prejudice. Mr Bennet is the younger brother and he is working with whiskey in Scotland. Then his brother dies. Great Jaff. Only thing is the virtual voice can’t pronounce some things like Darce which is a nickname for Darcy. It pronounces it Dacre. A few more such things. But it is still a good voice.

Good story.
