I normally like to read my books in either digital or physical format but I got the free trial of audiobook and decided to give it a try. Plus I didn’t want to mess up my sprayed edges on my physical book of this either. I thoroughly enjoyed this story and the narrator who read it. I loved the way it felt like I was in the story itself. I definitely will recommend this book!!!

This book is like the bachelor on crack. Only it’s a lot quicker considering it just 7 days. It’s a fun listen and kept me interested. I liked Maggie’s need to solve the little Wendy would leave for her. It’s fun to go on scavenger hunts and fall in love with hot Druids. I give it 2.5🌶️

When recently divorced and penniless Maggie O’Malley receives an invitation to the famous Ravenwood Halloween celebration to compete for a cash prize of $500k, she jumps at the chance. After all, it’s an all-expense-paid trip to Ireland and the only way she can see to save her family’s home from foreclosure. She drags her best friend Wendy along. Maggie is an incurable optimist who’s slightly gullible and probably has a little too much heart. (As a reader, I liked her from the get-go.)
Unbeknownst to her, Caedmon, Kellen’s devious and charming twin, has arranged the contest to free Kellen from the 600-year-old curse that keeps him imprisoned in a sensory-deprivation dimension. Throughout the centuries, Kellen has only gotten one week of freedom every fifty years, during which he tries to break Sorcha’s curse. And this time will be his last week of liberty, his last chance to free himself.

Caedmon’s invited Maggie because she’s the last descendant of Sorcha, the witch who cursed his brother. He believes Maggie’s death will break the curse.

That’s right, contest aside, to free his twin, Caedmon plans to sacrifice Maggie at the end of her week-long vacation at his gothic estate.

Enter Kellen, whose brooding charm and Irish brogue swept Maggie and me, as a reader, away. Although he’s an introvert, he cares for those around him and falls hard for Maggie.
