"You made a bargain . . .

Your soul for his—and now, you are mine."

Cate Holloway knows the unspoken rule of New Orleans: avoid the powerful Gage crime family at all costs. Of course, that was before her brother got caught in their chaos. Now Cate has no choice but to confront the dark and forbidding prince of New Orleans himself . . . and beg for her brother's life.

But Lachlan Gage is as lethal as he is beautiful . . . and the only currency he's interested in is her soul.

Because Lachlan isn't just some ruthless criminal. He's fae. And he has his own secret reasons for binding her to him.

Tricked and desperate, Cate is torn between humanity and the breathtaking Otherworld. A place filled with shadows and secrets, with members of each fae court plotting against her just as her captor's motives for trapping her become more mysterious.

And if she can't break this sinister bargain in the next thirty days, she'll be bound to the inscrutable yet infuriatingly tempting fae prince and his deadly world . . . forever.

Contains mature themes.

Okay, yes I loved this book! Really hoping there will be a second?! Because, hello?! What is happening next? Leaving us hanging!

The story has a nice new age twist on the “fae” that is a refreshing take from the traditional narrative.

The writing was great and I did enjoy the audio performance. The only thing I would change about this is having the male narrator speak throughout the book, rather than just at the end.

Thanks, Geneva!

the title honestly had me skeptical but oh my gosh I fell in love with this book and finished it within 2 days. I am only upset that I now have to wait for the second one.

simply compelling

Ok, I'm obsessed with the Filthy Rich Vampire series, and really did enjoy the somewhat slow burn on this one; however, the narration made me think Alexa or Siri was reading the book. I think she was so stiff in her reading, it was not right for this. The book itself was great though and I can't wait for the next one (although I probably won't get the audible for it).

Awesome story, the narrator, not at much.

The name of the book made it sound like it was going to be minimum plot, spice forward, and cheesy, but it was actually a pretty good story with a good cliffhanger. I can’t stand when audiobooks state it is a male narrator and a female narrator, but then the male narrator is only in the epilogue or the very last 10 minutes, which is what happened with this book.

Good Story, lame title, male narrator only at the end for 10 minutes
