Smart, competent, and capable people are rare and in high demand. Every organization-from commercial enterprises, healthcare, non-profit, sports, education, to the military-is in an outright battle to recruit and retain these bright and talented people.

Rather than bullets and bombs, the war for talent is won through high-impact prospecting activity, time discipline, intellectual agility, emotional intelligence, and human to human relationships. On this highly competitive, ever changing, asymmetric battle field, to win, you must operate a level of excellence beyond anything asked of military recruiters before. Yet, in this new paradigm, many recruiters are struggling, and most recruiting units are staring down the barrel at 50 percent or more of their recruiters consistently missing Mission. It is imperative that we arm military recruiters with the skills they need to win in this challenging environment. The failure to make Mission is an existential threat to the strength and readiness of America's fighting forces and our democracy.

Fanatical Military Recruiting begins where the Recruiting and Retention colleges of the various branches of the military leave off. It is an advanced, master's level training resource designed specifically for the unique demands of Military Recruiting.

The book itself was very informative and helpful as a starting recruiter. Going on exercises, missions, deployments we train for all those things but for recruiting… nothing prepares you for the rejections that are to come. It’s definitely draining but learning to overcome that hump, it definitely builds character.

As an Army recruiter and ARC instructor this book really connects what we teach at the college and what needs to happen in the station. This is a must read for all recruiters in my opinion!!!

A must read (hear?) for all military recruiters. Loved this book. Been in recruiting for 5 years and this book made me realize multiple places I can improve on.

I have been in recruiting for six years now and I am really impressed with the research that was done to complete this book Period knowing all of the terminology and struggles and obstacles really shows this authors passion. I have taken many tidbits from this And it is changed. my way of thinking and help me refocus. This should be a basic issue item the day that you graduate recruiter school because it will build a foundation rather than having to remodel and tear down what is existing so just bad habits and poor performance. I attended the seminar and felt that there was no way the whole book was covered in that amount of time and I was correct so I do not believe that I wasted anytime but I do feel this book is a mandatory investment for a career recruiter. Now I am going to start all over and read it again.
