No light. No air. No escape.

Hundreds of feet beneath the ocean's surface, a graveyard waits. Years ago, the SS Arcadia vanished without a trace during a routine voyage. Though a strange, garbled emergency message was broadcast, neither the ship nor any of its crew could be found. Sixty years later, its wreck has finally been discovered more than three hundred miles from its intended course: a silent graveyard deep beneath the ocean's surface, eagerly waiting for the first sign of life.

Cove and her dive team have been granted permission to explore the Arcadia's rusting hull. Their purpose is straightforward: examine the wreck, film everything, and, if possible, uncover how and why the supposedly unsinkable ship vanished. But the Arcadia has not yet had its fill of death, and something dark and hungry watches from below. With limited oxygen and the ship slowly closing in around them, Cove and her team will have to fight their way free of the unspeakable horror now desperate to claim them.

The performance was riveting and vocals great to listen to. I will look for more narrations by the speaker

Spooky, mysterious and happy ending

it had a interesting premise and a good narrator. it does have actual supernatural aspects of it and not some far out logical explanation to explain away everything odd.

the premise

this story kept me so entranced. it kind of gave your typical documentary movie where you have your cliches but even still the story felt so real. just the way the anxiety of the crews past and present was written well.

chilling

I realllllly liked this one! I got it on a whim as a 2/1 sale, and was a little shocked that it ended up being one of my favorites that I’ve listened to in a while. It certainly falls in the horror category, so if that’s not your speed I wouldn’t go for this. But if you like a fairly spooky book that makes you feel creeped out from beginning to end, this is a great option.
It wasn’t any of the characters that sucked me in, and the ending was just okay in my opinion, but the plot of the story and the way the author describes the deep sea diving made me very into this. I definitely have a fear of the deep ocean, and immediately this book made me feel nervous in a fun way just by describing the process of diving into the deep parts of the ocean, and this was before the actual scary stuff even started!
It was incredibly easy to picture every scene in my head as I was listening which made this a great pick for me. So, if you also have a gut fear of the deep ocean, enjoy using your visual imagination while listening to books, and like to be creeped out, I would highllllyyy recommend this one.
