This is my 5th or 6th Darcy Coates book. first one I've listened to and I loved it. twists and turns not knowing who will live or die. the narrator was really good there were a few times I thought it was a double narrator.. well done!! love love love

I really went back-and-forth with this Audiobook. Which is really not like me with Darcey Coates because I enjoy her horror, with a bit of gore, and some humor tossed in. I enjoy it, but the narrator for this Audiobook was not a good choice. At least in my opinion I probably only heard 75% of this book because there’s one character that when she speaks, I can’t hear a thing she says it’s like a mumbling whisper. I don’t know. I can’t figure out if I liked it or not based on just the narrator. It really shows you how much a narrator can impact a story.

The performance felt very very robotic, like it was being read by ai. So much so that it was hard to listen to this audiobook. And the different voices they did made the characters sound overly obnoxious. I wish it was better voiced:(
