Excellent story premise

It had a really slow build, lots of detail and description. One thing that stands out is the constant references to what the main character’s tongue is doing. It got to be a distraction after a while. Other than that an interesting take on a haunted house story.

Darcy is great at creating vibrant characters that come to life on the page. The narrator brought that a step farther with her excellent narration. Leigh is relatable, (even if I didn't always agree with her, or like her) and you feel empathy for her and Sarah.
The premise simple, and allows the story to breath and grow. It's not very often that a story really hooks me, surprises me, and moves me all at the same time. This story did that, and found it's way into my heart. I will be thinking about Leigh Harker for a long time to come. I recommend you give this story a listen, you won't be disappointed.
