A theme that would continue throughout her mission work in China where she thwarted authorities, became involved in the Chinese resistance and rescued over 100 children from the invading Japanese army.

A thrilling story! Gladys Aylward was truly an incredible person. I'd like to know more about her mother. I wonder how far Gladys would have gone if she had not had the faithful prayer support Rosina Florence raised for her daughter.
