I love this series. Deacon Frost truly has outdone himself with this series and I simply cant stop with this series. Phenomenal story depth, great characters and an amazing expansive world. Hands down one of the best series in the genre I have ever listened to.

I really enjoyed the sixth book in the series. Usually when authors start a academy series, and then move away from the Academy, the quality of the story just dives.
However, this author has maintained the adventure in the intrigue, even away from the Academy campus. High marks for him, and being able to achieve a unique story.

These two narrators play off of one another like two colors of paint merging together. This story was a fantastic addition to the series. However, the continuation of this MC's story would not go amiss. *clap hands together* If it is in the cards, allow us to wish for another book... Then receive its words once done.

Frigg! Things have definitely escalated… We see Levi and his ladies get stronger and grow in their bonds with Levi and as a family!
I thoroughly enjoyed this one and look forward for the next and sadly, the last book of the series! It’s hard to imagine that one of my favorite series will be ending… Although, I am also looking forward to some more epic magic and combat to see things come to a head not only with the Director but hopefully also the empire. I can’t imagine or deal with the idea that the empire and its genocidal dogma MUST be brought to heel! So I would consider that the “final boss fight.” Then the director will be the “main boss fight!”
Tawny’s grandmother was an epic and hilarious character added! And that she is such an amazing powerhouse as to be unafraid of even Demon Lords or Heroes! Pure epic bossomness!!!
The loss of family was sad though… I won’t say who it was though…

I’m hoping that we won’t only see Levi grow even more powerful but also his women! That they won’t be left behind like so many series do. Levi fighting with his ladies is one of my favorite things throughout this series and especially in this one. I can see Levi going toe to toe to the Director but will need his family to challenge the empire and force them to bow down before someone else for once…! That would be extremely poetic and so sweet…

The narrators of course continue to bring their amazing talents into bringing these characters and their story to life! They remain two of my favorite narrators!

I thank Royal Guard for the opportunity to continue enjoying this phenomenal story and spectacular performance!
