I was very pleased with this book, as it kept my interest, which is not easy to do. I have already purchased book 2.

An interesting perspective telling both sides strange story. On one side of the story you have alien invaders virtually destroying the planet. On the other side of the story you have an advanced civilization traversing the stars and seeking resources along the way. I'm looking forward to the next book. The Narration in this one was very well done. Characters were believable. The story took a few minutes to establish, and then it took off really well. Almost any Fan of a good space Odyssey should find this an interesting story.
