Lara did a great job with the story. A lot packed into five+ hours. But let's talk about the absolute revelation: Mandy McCullough. Wow, what a gorgeous voice. I'd pay a credit to hear her read the phone book.

It was a different take that I enjoyed. Narrators did a good job, looking forward to more Mandy.

Enjoyable and different

Good: An enjoyable light story with a good enough plot and characters.

Bad: This is an apocalyptic story and the main character is a prepper who lives in a remote house in the mountains. He has three back up power generators, water purification systems and food for two years. But, he doesn't have a an AM radio or even a good first aid kit. This is only one example of many that are throughout the book.

I love the start of this series. I’m hopeful it keeps going for a long time. The story is well put together and makes a lot of sense. The narrators are great.
