Luciano is the first book in the Belles & Mobsters series. This book is told from dual points of view from Luciano and Grace. This book starts off a few years before the main story. Luciano and Grace are married. Something happens and Grace escapes with nothing to her name.

Now a couple of years later Grace is living her life in hiding. Luciano is doing whatever he can to find his missing wife. Once he finds her, she will not go willingly. She used to bow to him, and now she fights at every turn.

As Luciano and Grace are working on their new life, Grace is trying to end the marriage, and Luciano won't let her go, we find out someone else is after Grace. Luciano will do whatever he has to keep her safe.

So much happens in this book, and I really enjoyed it. Can Grace keep someone close to her safe? Can she forgive Luciano for how he treated her before?

I liked these characters, and am excited to keep listening to the series.

***DUET NARRATION***

I LOVE how this starts. Their relationship is established and they're already married. What comes next? Well, Grace (Gracie, Fantasma) Romano Vitale definitely earned my respect. I love her backbone and ability to survive all kinds of things. We see this from the beginning and it only strengthens as time goes by.

And then there is the man who sets her ablaze, yet manages to destroy her in new ways, Luciano (Ruthless King) Vitale. He's arrogant, possessive, and a fool. While things aren't exactly as they seem, he has a knack for royalty screwing them up.

I do love that no other would do for both of them during their... hiatus. Of course, they make up for it in spades as things settle (as much as they can given circumstances) between them. This starts with hot spiciness that amps up as we move along. The things that man does to her body! I want to sign up to be the tester for skills enhancements. 🥵❤️‍🔥

In addition to admiring Grace's courage in the face of multiple harrowing situations, I also fell in love with the eldest and littlest Vitales. The two of them together is heartwarming and the embodiment of sweetness in a dark and dangerous world.

I'm absolutely loving this world and need more of it. Stat! The story is well told and kept me engaged the entire time. I barely stopped to eat. The narration kept me going as I worked late into the night. It was exactly what I needed and wanted.

The narrators, Aaron Shedlock and Mackenzie Cartwright, are awesome for these characters. Add to it that this is in duet? Oh, I am in heaven! 🎧💚🎧

BTW - there are some definite triggers so check that if you need to.

Ok I know I shouldn't have enjoyed it as much as I did but I love how Eva Winners draws me in! Grace may start off a little sheltered, but she quickly finds her way to becoming a woman who should be feared. Luciano can't admit his feelings because they show weakness in his mind/world but when Grace and him finally talk and understand each other they have the capacity to be a power couple! I wanted to yell at them a couple times because they really had the same goals to get rid of evil, but they could have worked together and saved themselves a lot of frustration! Overall, I wanted more and couldn't listen quick enough.

First time an Eva Winters book caught my attention and I finished it! I am a huge Italian mafia fanatic and this book made my imagination run wild! Great story line from the start it sucked me in! If you like mobster type and a bit of romance then this is for you!
