From the moment my twin sister set her eyes on Matteo, she decided he was the one. We were just kids, but that didn’t matter to her. In her heart, she believed they were destined to be together.
So when their arranged engagement was announced, no one was surprised.
At least, that’s what I thought.
But lately, something had felt off. Wherever I went, Matteo was there. Lurking in the dark, concealed in the shadows, always watching.
I didn’t know what I’d done to capture his attention. I didn’t want it. Yet, I couldn’t stop my heart from trembling like a bare soul caught in the icy grip of winter whenever he came near. Nor could I ignore my body’s traitorous response to his voice, low and laced with wicked intent.
I fought to resist him. I truly did. But it was useless.
He knew it. And so did I.
So I ran.
But that was the thing about the Vitales: they always gave chase.

The Narration :
I love Jason Clarke's voice. With His deep baritone voice he can be cast as any dominate character.
The Female voice for me took some getting used to. She seemed to talk a bit fast and I personally did not care for that type of character voice.
Story :
This was Pretty Good ,
But it could have been so much better with just a bit of tweaking it.
The story itself had a good concept, but there were parts I really got kinda annoyed with. ,
Ok The good part I liked about this story is I Really Like The Matteo Character, His never say die and give up attitude, He was truly determined. I loved that.
Now for the Dislikes :
Now I am Not a Twin, so I can't relate to the bond between twins , but I felt Ari was waaaayyyyy Over doing it with not wanting to hurt her sister behavior.
For me it was way too much. It's was overkill . Even at the cabin when Matteo and her were alone , it was like ok we get it, Now stop it enough Already.
And What kind of guy leaves something so important as a Marriage proposal to him up to chance with trusting his dad knew what sister he was asking for her hand in marriage at a gala setting. ??
And The sister Hannah behaving like that, like she was gonna have Matteo and marry him through her growing up years, years of pining for a guy to only then later admit she was really only using him .... while she suspected her Sister Ari really liked him.
Nahhh I wasn't feeling that. That's not redeeming yourself that's being selfish. Preventing the couple from being together.
There was a lot that could have been rectified with better communication, a shorter story to tell the same thing .
Yes the Story was pretty good, but there were some annoying issues with it for me which will make this book a 1 and done type Story for me . And spioler alert . At the end of the story the happy ending we didn't even know the name of the baby.
Am I glad I listened to it yea, kinda. Would I relistern to it again. Nope.
Would I recommend this story .
Sure for a 1 x go around but not a relisten.
(( 💠 M A T T E O 💠 )) Good Story, But could be better.
