Being an "unknown" author I was not expecting what I received. (I did receive a code from a reading group)

BUT, I found myself in a unique story that is based on LITRPG but creates a believable journey in a realm I would place in the "must visit" category.

Sure the MC may have some jagged elbows and brushes the cat's hair the wrong way to start but grows into an enjoyable snarky and even funny hero.

This is NOT an "I rubbed the bottle and became a god" story but earns your attention as it goes and the MC has enough depth to become real, facing struggles, earning his stripes, while dropping solid worldbuilding for future adventures.

The overall performance was solid easy listen with just enough flavor to move from story telling into entertainment without sound effects or music to clutter up the action.

Will I buy the next one, absolutely in fact looking forward to it.

the story is pretty clever, the summoned from a historical setting was a nice touch. The main character is really trying to channel han solo, I think it was a just a hair overdone. some of the characters were a bit shallow but the hints of lore and the world building make up for it.

Consider Me Hooked! Great story with fun and interesting characters. A very awesome job from a first time author and definitely worth the time to read! I love the uniqueness of the Blood Magic and I can’t wait to see what new abilities come forth in the rest of the series!

Great book and will definitely recommend it to friends!
