This was my first Victoria Ellis book, but won't be my last!

I really liked the characters and mafia world she is building in this series. It kind of gave a hint of romeo & juliette vibes with the MCs being from rival families.

I loved that even though Dante's family is still in the mafia and do bad things with and to bad people, they break away from associating with Giana's family when they get involved in things like trafficking drugs and people and align with the cartel. So while still conducting illegal business, there is still some sense of morality.

I liked Dante and Giana's relationship development.

The narrators, Molly Briar and Noel Harrison delivered an entertaining performance.

This book was good! The rival mafia families. very action-packed and all things mafia. Dante and Giana have such a rough start and then it comes together and then apart and then together!

Holy Mafia & forbidden vibes! Dante and Giana are amazing characters. When the heat is on between these two - it is hotttttt. Dante is all about pleasing and protecting. I was so here for it. On top of all the spice, the action scenes were fantastic. The twists truly kept me so locked in. Giana's family royally irked me though hahaha, but it sure added a great dynamic to the book. Then that ending! I'm hooked and ready for book 2.

The audio was great and I'll definitely listen to the rest of the series. Check the triggers listed at the beginning of the book. The Mafia elements are detailed and great, just make sure it's for you before you start! 🙂

This book was amazing!! I loved every bit of it. The beginning was amazing because it had a timeline showcasing what had happened previously. Dante and Giana come from rival families who were actually one unit that split apart due to different paths. I always love a good mafia romance, but this one stands out from the rest.

The story starts off super fast-paced, and honestly, I read this in one sitting. It was completely action-packed, and I just needed to know what was going to happen next. The author also gives a bunch of insight of the mafia/cartel and also the language they use which I felt was a very big help to understand the plot more and it also gave this story so much more depth.

The narration was astounding! It gave so much life to these characters. Especially when the Italian accents came out😍🙌🔥
