This is the second book in the Promised In Blood series. This book is crazy. Just when I thought I knew what was happening, it changed. Lorenzo is the craziest and I’m here for it. That last bonus scene was 🥵! Maeve York and Walker Williams has done an excellent job narrating this book.

“Welcome to the party, princess. Buckle the F— up.”

This installment is laid out a little differently than book 1. It picks up pretty much where book 1 left off, and there’s a lot of time spent on romance and steam so we can get to know the men better. There is mystery throughout, but it’s not a true mystery. As in, it is to the characters, but to the reader it’s extremely predictable.

Still, it’s a fun ride. Packed with action, drama, danger, blood, captivity, betrayal … ends on a wicked cliffhanger.

Recommended read.

4 stars overall.


The audio is perfection, dual narrator, though it sounds like full-cast thanks to the accents, etc.
Well done. A 5-star production.

This is the third book I've read/ listened to by Lilith Vincent, The second in this series. Ihave the same reactionafter listeningto this audio... whoa. Her audiobooks are complicated and difficult listens.

In this audiobook, Chiara stands strong. She is adjusting and surviving in a cruel world. She's perfect for these guys. We get to know more of the back story for Salvatore, Cassius, Lorenzo, and Vinicius. It's devastating. We get another brutal cliffhanger that has me on edge! I cannot wait for the next audiobook!

Walker Williams and Maeve York are excellent narrators. They have brought this book to life with emotional performances that roll like a movie in my head. It's perfection.
