this was an example of never giving up if you think a person is wrongly accused. Trust GOD and HE will direct your path. True love always wins over attacks from lies and devilish ways. you just need to give all to GOD and allow HIM to do HIS job. This was a great example of good wins over evil. I enjoyed the different twists and turns and a positive ending. the author and narrator did an awesome job

GOD IS ALWAYS LISTENING TO PRAYER

I was very pleased with the family connection even though they were all different personalities.

The suspense of determining the killer.

I wanted to like these books, I really did. I read all 5 because I’m NOT a quitter, but it was a bit painful at times. I’ve been reading the likes of Lynette Eason & Dee Henderson for years, so perhaps that’s what I was expecting?

I’m not old, only in my 30’s, but I honestly felt like I was listening to teenagers. I have one so they’re somewhat relatable, but that doesn’t mean that I want to listen to teen romances. Not my thing.

I haven’t “read” the books, only listened, which makes me wonder if it’s the narrator making them sound more juvenile or the fact that the content is just too immature to be considered “adult.”
I do appreciate the fact that they’re clean, so there’s that. 🤷🏼‍♀️👍🏻

Maybe better for teens?

This time I listen to this book. It had all the twists and turns and on the edge of my seat action.
This time I took the time to rate this book, instead of going on to the next book!

Better the second time around!

Piper has always been the nosey, pipsqueak, loving sibling in the McKenna household. Her heart is too big and she believes in everyone and everything. She always sees the good in people and situation. She is fiercely loyal to God and her family. When her brother is arrested for the murder of his teammate, she knows he is innocent. She sets out on her own to find the real killer ... putting her life at risk. Landon - an "adopted" brother - knows he will have to put aside his job as Deputy to keep the woman he loves safe - even is she could never love him the same way. Piper is not sure when it happened, but she is seeing Landon in a whole new light - He is gruff, but so handsome. If only he would see her as a woman instead of "pipsqueak".

We also get a peak into Gage and his past - along with his feelings toward God.
