Excellent narration with clear personalities in each voice helping flesh out the characters. Enjoyed her pacing and variation in tones and accents.

Story overall was Not too simple, not too complex but with wonderful shifts and twists.

Some love, some horror, and definitely some darkness and frustration at feeling like the world is so very unfair. Nice touches of magic and ideas of the afterlife. The villian is definitely evil and nice grey components to our protagonists.

This is a magical story about death and unexpected love. Candace Robinson builds a fascinating and poetic world that will pull you in and steal your heart. I need more stories about this hauntingly beautiful afterlife that she's built. Luckily... she does have another standalone in this world and I will be reading it as soon as I have a gap in my very full reading schedule.

This was a very unique story. At least for me. Two characters get unalived and have to find a way to defeat the evil one who put the in the after life. I am unsure of what other story to even compare it to. And the above description doesn't do it justice. The few spicy scenes that were included were maybe three peppers 🌶🌶🌶.

It was other worldly, literally. Magical. Multiple 3rd person POVs. Fast paced.
