Cursed with a dark power that threatens to slowly erode his humanity, Nolan Crest fights against the monsters and guilds that plague his world, even if that means he’ll one day become a monster, himself.

His village was destroyed, and almost everyone he’s ever loved has fallen prey to the atrocities of the land. All he has left is his sister and a thirst for revenge. One that will never be quenched if the twisted heart inside of him has its way.

Power was all he ever wanted, but now, with every level he gains, he feels himself drifting further away from the person he once was.

From a nobody to a vengeful tyrant… This is The Legend of Dark Heart and how the nations came to fear his blade.

The whole premise and power system is really nice and actually seeing a rouge type is great. The main character being so unreasonably angry at the knights is crazy cause the most evil thing we have seen is one arrogant knight not pay his dad full price for work and he acts like they are all the most evil people

Premise is awesome main character makes no sense

this book is a nice chnage of pace from a standard sword using fighter who has an immediate love interest. I enjoyed every minute and liked the sibling duo MCs

A nice break from the Norm

Okay, the good. This has a lot of a darksouls feel. I like the fight sequences and the system makes a little of sense. Now the bad. the main character is a Emo, hot headed manchild. Clearly, the monster core that he absorbed made his issues exasperated, but still, a couple of antagonist characters make him emotionally unstable. Literally the definition of a moody teenager. Fix that, and you have a decent book. Unless moody teenagers are your thing, don't bother.

Could not finish.
