The chains of Heavens were shattered. And the Azure Dragon stirs in the empire’s capital.

With the arrival of winter, Lu Jie’s workload has continued to increase. Now in charge of an entire sect, and mired in politics, he’d been expecting constant pushback from demonic beasts and yet … the demons seem to have vanished without a trace.

Left with a foreboding feeling, Lu Jie’s problems still haven’t solved themselves.

The Alchemy Halls continue to put pressure and threaten him, all the while an invite has arrived from the Jade Court, calling him to Azure city. But Lu Jie has a plan, one that can not only protect him, but change the very course of history forever.

It was time to leave his mark on the empire, once and for all.

Book three of an epic Xianxia cultivation series perfect for fans of Beware of Chicken and Cradle. The series features weak-to-strong power progression, a light scientific approach to magic, tons of alchemy, spirit beast companions, and so much more.

The word choice and finesse and story work together so well. This in one of my favorites series. The voice acting is amazing as normal for this series.

I am a fantasy nerd and a patent attorney ...n this book was all about what they used to call "the bank of public knowledge" when I was in law school. I def understood what the book was getting at ....but unfortunately because I work in this field I was more annoyed than anything else. I wanted more magic and action ...more magic less production line stuff. The political intrigue stuff was cool ...but idk, I kina wish the author focused more how science cud be used to apply his magic in cool and unexpected ways ...they went a little too hard on "inventing" everyday regular stuff ...did'n really do anything to push the envelope of magic or introduce cool new applications ...to me it seemed like a missed opportunity, but it was still a cool story

As a patent attorney this book was meant for me

it's supposed to be "cultivation" but aside from the society, it feels more high fantasy. Cultivators ain't cultivating much.

The lack of interpersonal relationship progress/especially romantic one's.
