Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

After hearing this book, I bought the print copy as a reference manual. I've been following this diet for 2weeks and have seen incredible changes in my health. I wouldn't have had the time to read the book in print and probably wouldn't have finished it because it's somewhat repetitive. I don't really like the author's inflection when she's trying to make a point (sounds fakey), but I love the content of the book!

Great book. Not only does JJ Virgin explain what you need to eliminate from your diet, but also in detail why clearly and understandably.

I've just started this diet TODAY so perhaps I'll come back and revisit this review in the future, but so far this is reasonable, matches with the science I've read elsewhere, and gives me confidence because of the healthiness and balance of the foods. This seems to me to be do-able. I have hesitated in the past to purchase books that were "read by the author" because of the aural grating irritation that it has proven to cause, but JJ Virgin does a really great job. She sounds genuine and friendly. I only resent the $70 shakes that she sells on her site that are highly recommended for 1 - 2 meals a day. However, in researching similar vegan, soy-free, organic shake mixes, I found that her price is either at par or lower than the others on the market. So. Off I go to get healthier!
