I enjoyed that the story opened with a pointed look at who Dax is! I listened to the clip and wasn't convinced that the essence of Dax would be brought together by this narrator. (I read the hidden empire series ebook prior to it being recorded.) the sample clip does this series no justice.
There is a real plot with forward momentum, unlike many other reverse harem series I've read/listened to.
If you want an emotionally locked up female lead who's going to take what she wants from the world (& men) around her whist enjoying herself to the max, then Dax is your girl & this series is one for you. Dax maybe just the enforcer of Two Tricks' Hidden empire but from the beginning it's easy to see that she really believes in what she'd doing and Is the face & heart of everything her & Wes (her sexy, tatted, ripped, genius hacker of a best friend).
I could go on about her men but I implore you to spend the credit & find out about them all...

Ok im not going to spoil the plot that's just evil!

here's a quick snap of what kind of men they are..
Wes- the bff for 20 years got AF house husband (or wife if you listen to Dax).
Eagle- the first capture from the Phantom Saints leadership

sprocket- the sexy man for her mind & mental well-being
Void- the British MMA mad man that's a Teddy bear only for his "little demon" and allows her to rev
Picasso- Eagles younger brother

This story was sooooo good! I saw the cliffhanger coming about halfway through the book but it was still good! While I prefer male narrators for the male parts, this narrator Amy did such a fantastic job! Honestly so many voices, like how? 🤯
I absolutely love a badass FMC and Dax does not disappoint! Worth the credit for sure!

I just love seeing a woman in power like our heroine. she was funny, strong, intelligent and beautiful! she was her own person and was quite the badass! The guys were pretty awesome also, recognizing her for what and who she was.

To say this book has a strong female main character is an understatement. This is a reverse harem. The banter in this book is witty.
