When the world ended, former Army Ranger Connor “Tav” McTavish thought he’d prepped for everything. He was wrong.

When roving gangs destroy all semblance of law and order, and the strong take what they want from the weak, Connor will find himself as the sole protector of an all girls' college hidden away in the Green Mountains of Vermont.

Now, his only chance at survival is to show group female liberal arts snowflakes what a real man can do and turn all four of them into survival and combat experts.

I was honestly hesitant to pick up this series but I can honestly say it was worth it.
If you enjoy Slice of life or survival or harem elements are all with in this book.
well there is not a lot of Action there is a little bit of it.
All the characters feel different and all go threw varies degrees of trouble adapting but really begin doing so nicely.

A fantastic first installment

Great story and narration by the voice actors! Compelling characters and the story isn't particularly tqrim like so many post apocalyptic stories. A lot of fun to listen to, looking forward to book 2!

It wasn't much in the way of particularly thrilling or incredible like action-packed parts of the book It read more like a kind of low energy slice of life which isn't to say it wasn't good but if you're looking for a extremely thrilling or exciting book this might not be what you're looking for. for what it was though it was very good book

more of a slice of life book than a exciting novel

I enjoyed both the story and most of the performance of the two narrators, but what was with that horribly flubbed line in chapter 8? I listened to the author's 'thanks for listening' chapter for an explanation but it wasn't even mentioned. Was it supposed to be a joke? All I know is that it ruined the pacing in a horrific and awkward moment. If it was supposed to be a joke, it was way too late for it to really be any good. It was made in the middle of a sentence which got awkwardly restarted. Don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed the rest of the book but I hope Jessica doesn't get anymore creative license with her lines, because that's irritatingly unprofessional. In fact, is there any way to get a hold of a version where she doesn't make that "joke"?
