I like to read and listen normally but this is the rare case where I tend to switch to listen when the male character, Enzo or Lorenzo, is voiced. The narrator does a great job catching the mood of the novel and makes this come to life.
Lorenzo is obsessed with his “toy”, Piper Harrington. He manipulates circumstances and other outside internship opportunities Piper had so Piper, his “toy” has no choice but to intern with his company, Blackwood. This internship has sexual expectations set in the interview process that Piper accepts as part of the role. As she thrives in her role in every way, she realizes Lorenzo, the CEO of Blackwood, was also her stalker prior to her internship. What leads forward is a very sexy story with plenty of heat and kink between the characters. This was my first novel from this author and I loved it! Looking forward to more in the series.

This audiobook is narrated by Desireé Ketchum and Theodore Zephyr. Desiree has always been a favorite of mine. She always does the female POV so well. Theo is perfect for a mafia mans voice. His voice was super dark and deep in this one.
This one is about Piper and how she ventures into politics and the hidden rulers.. As soon as Lorenzo lays eyes on her, he is obsessed and determined to make her his queen to rule by his side. I loved how his obsession made him weak in the knees from the moment their eyes met. He would do anything in his power to keep her safe along with claiming her. He goes to great lengths to get what he wants like stalking & placing cameras in her apartment…
Love love mafia romance! Those mafia men know how to get their women!
