"He was once my mate. Now he’s the Alpha who doesn’t believe our child is his."

Six years ago, I vanished without a trace.

Now fate drags me back—bleeding, hunted, and carrying secrets I can't speak out loud.

They say I killed the Alpha.

That I betrayed the pack.

That I betrayed him.

But I don’t remember the betrayal.

I don’t remember my life.

Only the pain. The darkness. The confusion.

Not even him.

Zade. The Alpha I once loved. The man I once called my mate. The father of the child in my arms.

He looks at me like I’m a ghost. A threat. A mystery he still wants to unravel.

And he swears the child can’t be his…

But there are darker things lurking beneath this pack. Secrets rooted deep in magic, lies, betrayal... and something far older watching from the shadows.

When my memories return, they bring with them the truth of that terrible night.

And everything begins to fall apart.

He says we were in love.

Maybe we still are.

But sometimes, love is too fractured to be mended.

Spoiler alert. This was an entertaining story from beginning to end, but still, I was disappointed. Judging from the cover, and from the warning at the beginning, somehow I was under the illusion that it was going to be a steamy romance, and I was disappointed. Frankly, the heroine remained a virgin at the end of the story.

I do want to make mention that the AI narrative was really quite good. I like that they had both male and female voices. However, when the voice say the female voice spoke as a male, she did not change her voice and so it became a bit confusing.

Good story, but not much of a romance
