Sadie Hawkins wants nothing more than to find success as a screenplay writer. But when she discovers the love of her life hanging from their bedroom ceiling, Sadie gives up on her dreams.

Until she receives an unexpected gift.

Sadie has become the sole owner of the cabin in the woods she always adored. A secluded place where she can resurrect her dreams and drown her sorrows.

Yet the woods are not the same. The days are still and lifeless. The shadows seem to follow Sadie. And the air holds the scent of her dead husband.

As the days go by, Sadie will either have to accept that her sanity is in jeopardy or uncover the mysteries hidden deep within the past. Mysteries more terrifying than she ever imagined.

And Then There Was Silence is a standalone story and perfect for fans of V.E. Schwab, Holly Black, and Mexican Gothic. Untamed Darkness is a standalone series of short story collections and novels with a touch of darkness that can be listened to in any order.

I’m at chapter 15 and may add to this but at this point, the MFC deserves everything that happens to her. I feel that once you start cheering for the vengeful entity nothing matters anymore. She keeps getting negative omens and ignoring them, trying to save a DEAD MAN. Sis let it go!! Why create drama in the midst of tragedy and loss. I don’t understand why she keeps antagonizing the situation and bringing others into her delusions. She needs to take a lesson from Frozen. I can’t see a point to this storyline save to irritate the reader.

Ummm why….

I had to DNF this. The constant Honey and Sandalwood and cringey pet names was getting very old very fast. I stopped at chapter 10. I feel this book could have a lot more potential if the characters had more of a personality. All of the dialogue sounded very similar to each other.

PLEASE ADD TRIGGER WARNINGS! I am someone who struggles with PTSD and SI. If I wasn't in therapy I would be struggling. I am suprised I got as far as I did.

This story lacked in world building. I want to paint a picture in my mind of where our MC is at. I love spooky cabin vibes, I want to feel that scenario.

The audiobook reader is very monotone and robotic when they reader. I could not listen anymore.
