They say you can never tame a wildflower...

From the superstar romance author of the Boston Bolts hockey series comes a spicy rivals-to-lovers, grumpy-sunshine romance about a young woman returning to her family’s daffodil farm only to find “Cowboy” running her daddy’s business. . . . This gorgeous first edition trade paperback features colored stenciled edges.

When aspiring pastry chef, Tally Darling, returns home to her family’s daffodil farm, the last thing she expects to find is a hot—half-naked—farmhand living in her childhood bedroom and running her late daddy’s business.

Jesse Walker might be gorgeous but he’s also infuriatingly grumpy. Walker has no time for Tally and the feeling is mutual.

That is, until Tally hears him moan over one of her signature salted honey cupcakes. And then discovers how good it tastes when they kiss.

As dewy April days turn into warm May evenings, Walker and Tally soon realize that there is a thin line between love and hate. But will their budding connection grow into something that lasts beyond one season?

I feel in love with Tally, Walker and the whole town of Hope Harbor. I have loved everything I've read from Brittanee Nicole and this was no different. Such a fun small town romance, where Brittanee brings her hilarious banter and heartwarming characters. The way Tally and Walker fall in love, even as they try to keep things casual, was so beautiful. They support each other perfectly and honestly bring out the best in the other. And Brittanee does not skimp on the spice! Walker surprised me many times with the spice level.

This is narrated in a hybrid duet style which was new to me. It means the narrators read all of their character's dialogue but don't necessarily read the other characters of the same sex. As someone who doesn't mind dual or duet, it didn't bother me one bit. Savannah Peachwood is a favorite narrator of mine, and she was wonderful as Tally. She really brought out the snarky humor for this role but also hit the vulnerable and sad parts beautifully. Liam Cortright is a new narrator for me and I really enjoyed him as Walker. He has a rich, low tone which came through great as the grumpy, serious farmer.

Highly recommend reading/listening!

I loved this story. I can’t believe I waited so long to read it. It’s another amazing book written by Brittanee Nicole. The connection that grew between Tally and Walker was so sweet. You gotta love that Walker is a strong silent dominant man. Seeing the relationship between him and Tally change was sweet. Knowing Tally’s end goal made you beg for her to make the right choice. The heat between her and Walker was too good to pass up. Savannah Peachwood and Liam Cortright did an amazing job on the audiobook with the partial duet narration. I would definitely read/listen to this book again.

I am convinced Brittanee Nicole cannot write a bad story. I have been obsessed since my first read of hers (Mother Faker) and of course I have read and own all her books in some format. Sometimes even multiple (who doesn’t need book trophies?!) This story had all the key elements but was different than all the others (no hockey, and no billionaires) but 100% fantastic! Swoony MMC ✔️, sassy FMC ✔️and of course something else Britt does that we can’t live without…to die for GROUP TEXTS!!!! Y’all this book was absolutely everything I expected it to be AND MORE!!! If Brittany writes it I will buy it, audio, digital AND physical!!! Now can we talk about those amazing narrators?!? Savannah Peachwood was brilliant as sassy Tally Darling, and Liam Cortright brought grumpy, sexy Jesse Walker to life perfectly! 100/100 RECOMMEND!!! Can’t wait for the next one in the series!!

Once again, pure perfection!
