loved the depth of characters , the intertwining lives and world of Jagger's books. Mal is a great main character. the voice actors are truly incredible. I read this book but had to hear it being told. it did not disappoint

My goodness this was another great book. It’s like 2 books in one. The first half is how these 2 come together & it is crazy intense. There is a mystery overhead as these 2 become more and more intertwined and my mid-book it turns a different dynamic and the mystery takes center stage. I did predict one surprise early on as Freya was discussing having inherited Huntington’s Disease from her father. But even still, I enjoyed the book as the events unfolded.
In thinking about Freya, I still laugh from the previous book when Kenzo referred to her as Morticia. Anyway, the narration is fabulous!

They did an excellent job bringing these characters to life. I felt their pacing and tone were perfect also. They brought forth all the emotions. Will did a perfect job as Mal as Kyo also did a perfect job as Freya.

This is Mal and Freya’s story. Wow what a journey this was!!!! I simply could not stop listening to this book! Two characters that could not be more perfect for each other. I am so addicted to this authors books.

The characters are extremely well developed as is the plot and storyline. Jagger Cole’s book are very well written. I have not been disappointed in any of his books I have read or listened too. He writes complex characters to perfection.

His characters HEA never come easily. They go through the wringer to get there.

I highly recommend any book this author writes especially this one.

This book was so good! Mal was absolutely terrifying and dark and mysterious, but super sexy. And he was definitely unhinged. And Freya was a dream. I love how quirky she is. I love how she had so much heart and loved to give. The story is twisted. Definitely dark. But it is so good! And the spice is great.

The audiobook is fluent and the narrators are great. They are able to bring difference between characters and different accents, it is easy to follow.
I love that the MMC represents the North, even though a Finnish character is long over do 🤣
The story is full of suspense and action, I listened it just in a few days. I love these interconnected standalones of Jagger Cole, we get to revisit some familiar characters all the time!
