The battle for the world of Halanor has only just begun.

Still very good but i would have liked it to be a little longer and the pacing slowed down just a bit to digest and flesh out the world and characters. the first book had a much better ramp up on the pacing but this was very enjoyable

The only complaint that is really worth mentioning is that the end of the book comes too quickly! I am now going to start book 3 but seeing how all three books were released in 2023, I must concede book three is the end of the story. Now, I'm feeling like the story is ending too quickly!

Seriously though, while I respect others opinions regarding this series, I feel like it deserves a slightly higher overall rating. Now, on to book three.

it's gritty, and violent but not gory. the narrator voice captures the MC perfect I feel can't wait for more.

I'm not sure this book is as good as the first novel. However, I believe the listener will still find this story rather enjoyable. So, I would encourage all to spend that credit on this story.
