Thus was a great and well written book that captures the reader’s attention from start to finish. Suspense at its best. It shows what a family will do to protect their loved ones unconditionally. Narration was perfect for each character.

The story tears your heart off on an emotional adventure from the first scene. I identified with each character in some way. That is a tremendous skill I will be reading more of this author!

Loved this book! Fabulous twist. Great storyline, good crime fiction, & enjoyed the details of Austin. Can’t wait for more Zunker novels!

Not Our Daughter pulled me in from the very first chapter. Chad Zunker does a fantastic job building tension and keeping the reader invested. I was hooked all the way through. The pacing was tight, and the emotional stakes felt real. The characters were layered and believable, especially the central figures, who made me feel their pain, fear, and determination every step of the way.

What kept it from being a full five stars for me was a few plot points that felt slightly too convenient or wrapped up a little too neatly. But honestly, that didn’t take away from the overall impact of the story. It’s a suspenseful, heart-wrenching read that stays with you after the final page. I’ll definitely be checking out more from this author.
