What an incredible book. The author commented at the end of the book that it’s her 25th year as a writer. With Connie, Luke & John being a pivotal part of her debut phenomenal success, she wanted to swing by Connie again. This book does not disappoint. It’s captivating from page one in anticipation of what/who is involved in the traumatic scene near the end. The characters continue to evolve and develop. As Connie grows, I think most women can relate. Even tho the plot is unrelenting in intensity AP still managed to create a tearjerker scene. Emotions run high throughout and the ending is a twist I didn’t see coming. Such a great book. I most definitely recommend listening/reading this latest release.

Narration was brilliant by both narrators. Kristin Atherton and Gary Turner give such authentic performances really conveying a wide array of genuine emotions.

I have read just about every Adele Parms book available, and I knew there was a reason these characters felt familiar. This was by far one of, if not, my favorite book of hers. Highly recommend.
